Bill McMeekin, Vice President/Business Editor email@example.com
Want to go deep on the subject of reshoring? Or hear about the tech start-up in Chattanooga that’s a shooting star in 3-D printing of shoes? Like the way the words “Foreign Direct Investment” roll off your tongue? Then Bill McMeekin is your guy. Bill works with our economic development clients across the country to tell their stories, strengthen their brands and help them cultivate new business opportunities. Sometimes he advises them what not to write about.
A graduate of Saint Bonaventure University, Bill is a veteran business journalist, editor and publisher. He knows how to assemble and organize content and coordinate teams of specialist writers to get it done. Bill knows business. And economic development. And how to get a target audience interested in reading about it.
Susan Chappell, Vice President/Travel Editor firstname.lastname@example.org
She's been everywhere, man. From a honeymoon stint on a kibbutz in Israel to a jaunt atop an elephant in Thailand, Susan Chappell is an avid traveler and accomplished travel writer and editor. Yes, she was the editor of the Mercury Award-winning North Carolina Travel Guide when it was voted Best Travel Guide in the nation. Highly organized and a nut about detail, Susan takes as much pride in the accuracy of a voluminous directory of travel attractions as reporting on the rapid rise of the food culture in Music City USA. Well, almost as much. She’s a pretty serious foodie, too.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Susan is a student of travel publications and knows that each destination and each client relationship has its singular attributes. Her strongest skill may be that she listens as well as she writes and edits.
Lisa Battles, Community Content Director email@example.com
On her LinkedIn profile, Lisa fittingly calls herself a lifelong storyteller. An Auburn University journalism grad, Lisa is an accomplished marketer, editor and project manager.
Lisa always finds something she admires about a community and then finds a way to let the world know about it. From her 10 years working with cities at Livability Media to her previous gigs editing community newspapers and then as public relations manager for Talladega Superspeedway, she has shown she loves nothing better than discovering the best and most interesting aspects of almost anywhere.
That could be rubbing fenders, so to speak, with the luminaries of NASCAR and its legion of loyal, grassroots fans, discovering the iconic Green Chile Slopper in Pueblo, Colorado or chatting up BASE jumpers in the middle of a bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho.
